Overview

80's Obsession Company provides event consulting, planning, and day-of coordination, plus optional decor rentals and setup when included in your quote.

We primarily serve Upland, CA and the Inland Empire (Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Claremont, Pomona, and nearby). Travel fees may apply outside our core area. Referral-only vendor networking (intros, no on-site) may extend across wider Southern California.

Because each event is custom and your date is held on our calendar (and rental inventory is reserved only when decor is part of your booking), the following terms apply to all planning packages and any rentals or setup add-ons.

Booking & Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit (typically 25–50% of the total quote) is required to secure your event date. When decor rentals are included, the deposit also reserves that inventory for your date.
  • Your event is not confirmed until the deposit is received and a signed service agreement (or written email confirmation) is on file.
  • The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event unless otherwise stated in your quote.
  • Deposits apply toward your final invoice and are not transferable to another client.

Services-only bookings

When your quote is planning / coordination / vendor sourcing only (no decor rentals or setup):

  • Cancellation and rescheduling rules below still apply to the service fees in your contract (including Planning Consult, Partial Planning, Full Day-Of Coordination, and Vendor Sourcing referral fees as quoted).
  • Language about “reserving inventory,” delivery, setup, and custom fabrication applies only if those items are later added by written change order.

When decor rentals or setup are booked

If your quote includes Rental Only, Full Setup, Custom Theme Build, or other decor:

  • Inventory is reserved exclusively for your date once the deposit clears.
  • Delivery, setup, and pickup fees follow your quote.
  • Custom-built props, signage, or specialty items ordered specifically for your event are non-refundable once production has begun.

Vendor Sourcing & Networking fees

When Vendor Sourcing & Networking is booked, our fee is a disclosed 10% of confirmed vendor contract(s) we introduced (referral / middle-person), as stated in your quote — not a hidden markup. Cancellation timing rules apply to amounts due under your service agreement. Tax treatment of referral income is handled separately with our advisors; this policy does not change that review.

Cancellations by Client

Timing Policy
30+ days before event Deposit is non-refundable; remaining balance (if paid) refunded minus any custom-order or fabrication costs already incurred.
14–29 days before event 50% of total contract value is due; any balance paid beyond that amount may be refunded at our discretion.
Less than 14 days before event 100% of total contract value is due. No refunds.
Day-of cancellation / no-show Full contract value is due. Delivery and setup fees (when applicable) are non-refundable.

Rescheduling

  • One date change may be permitted if requested 14+ days before the original event date, subject to our availability (and rental inventory availability when decor is booked).
  • A $75 rescheduling fee may apply.
  • Rescheduled events must take place within 6 months of the original date.
  • Deposits transfer to the new date when rescheduling is approved.

Cancellations by 80's Obsession Company

In the rare event we must cancel (e.g., severe weather, circumstances beyond our control), we will offer a full refund of amounts paid or work with you to reschedule at no additional cost.

Refunds

  • Refunds, when applicable, are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
  • Rush fees, delivery fees, and custom fabrication costs are non-refundable once services have been rendered or materials ordered.
  • Completed planning or coordination work already delivered under your quote is non-refundable.
